The First Week of Class

So, my first week of Graduate School at Florida State is over, and what did I learn? This is going to be a very, very, very busy 18 months. However, instead of dreading the hard work, I am looking forward to not only the challenges that face me, but also that the things I'm learning now will help me to become a excellent and professional educator and will help me be successful next fall when I, (Gulp) step into my Student Teaching.

Now usually when I post this I'm supposed to comment about the reading for the week, but to be completely honest I ordered the book off of Amazon and it has yet to arrive at my apartment. Usually text books arrive quickly but as of Sunday (Which I do not believe is a delivery day for Fed Ex) it has not arrived. So I'll comment on the discussion posts for the week, mainly what really pulled me into education. I had the benefit of taking an Undergrad Education class in 2008, which I took mostly because it fit into my schedule perfectly, which gave me the idea that teaching would be something I would love to do, mostly for the entrensic benefits. I always love working the students, all the way from when I was in high school to when I was an undergrad working with college freshmen. If you already know that you like doing something as a volunteer, why wouldn't I want to do it as a career, and be paid for it?

I'm sure that I will eventually polish and spit shine why exact reason before interviews come along, but I feel I have made a great decision to come back and earn my teachers certification.
